Tigger is a 21-year old cat who was taken to a local veterinary surgery only to be abandoned by his owner. Old and terminally ill, it seemed that the elderly feline would pass away in the care of a shelter as both his age and condition gave him a small chance of being adopted.
But hoped came in the form of one Adrienne Nicole who saw Tigger’s story on the Canton Neighbor’s page. Touched and saddened at the cruel fate that the infirmed cat has gotten, she decided to take the feline home and shower him with love throughout his remaining days.
Nicole created a bucket list of adventures for Tigger and took him places where he can see new sites. The geriatric cat, of course, loved every minute of it. This is despite the fact that he was suffering from kidney failure and a tumor as large as a golf ball, which he kicks like a 12-year old, according to Nicole.
“The beach is by far his favorite,” said Nicole. “The most important part is that Tigger’s story just shows how amazing it is to adopt a geriatric pet and give them the best remaining days! He has forever changed our hearts and will hopefully change the hearts of others when it comes to adopting older pets.”
